Thank you! To clarify it was for Greco, and greatly appreciated. But we can't forget that also during the finals I accepted Jesse Thielke's award on his behalf, as he was named Junior Greco National Wrestler of the Year. Earlier this summer Kevin Black was honored as the Women's National Coach of the Year. Great recognition for Wisconsin Wrestling throughout!

I can’t think of a better person to win this award. Mike puts his heart & soul into this sport and truly cares for the kids. Thanks for everything you do. Thanks to the other coaches as well.

Congrats to coach DeRoehn on this amazing award. this summer i got to work out under DeRoehn and i really enjoyed wrestling for him. He is one of, if not, my favorite coach that i have ever wrestled for. Coach mike made all of the wrestlers work hard not because they were being yelled at but because they wanted to and respected what he had to say and trusted that what he was showing would work. Deroehn gave me the confidence i probably would not have had to end up finishing 2nd at fargo and having a great greco Dual tournament for Team Wisconsin. Thank you so much Coach Mike and congratulations you deserve it. (what really won him the award were the 2 on 1 sprints)  |
